What is “In-home Care?

In-home care services consist of personal care and household assistance performed in your home by a screened, qualified caregiver. In-home care services can include, but are not limited to:

  • ambulation (assistance with movement)
  • bathing & body care
  • dressing
  • essential shopping, meal planning and/or preparation and eating assistance
  • personal hygiene
  • assistance with self-medication
  • toileting
  • travel to medical services and/or community activities
  • laundry and/or other housework
  • Supervision

Services are provided for all ages and levels of need, with payment accepted through various state programs and private pay.

We accept Medicaid Personal Care hours from the Division of Developmental Disabilities, as well as private pay contracts.

Our Caregivers

We exclusively refer caregivers who have been oriented, criminally screened and background checked. Each caregiver possesses all necessary training and certification required by the state of Washington in CPR, First Aid and HIV blood borne pathogens. Caregivers providing care for adults are certified in the Fundamentals of Care Giving classes. Certified training in First Aid, CPR, HIV blood borne pathogens, and Fundamentals of Care Giving is available through the agency. Please contact us for class times and cost.

Becoming a Caregiver

Are you interested in becoming a caregiver? Caregivers must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read, write and understand English, have a minimum of one year work or related experience and have HIV/AIDS training and current First Aid and CPR certifications within 90 days of beginning work for the agency.
